Taverns, inns, and pubs are common places for those that enjoy the nightlife. Local dives can be great for getting friends together and drinking, playing pool, or listening to open mic night. Liquor licenses will need to be kept up to date in order for a saloon to stay in business. If you want to watch sports, strippers, go-go dancers, or comedians you can call a tavern and ask if they have any events planned. If not, they may have great happy hour and specials going on that you can't pass up. Adult entertainment can be found in various places, as well as upscale lounges. Some taverns will have stages for karaoke while others will have the usual bar games, including billiards and darts. Operational hours will vary depending on the pub you're thinking about visiting. Some may open around lunch while others will wait until dinner hours. Food will be offered at certain saloons. Specials, including cheap beer, shots, or other alcoholic beverages will change from day to day. Call a tavern before you first visit and ask if they have a taxi service that can pick you up if you're not fit to drive. You can also ask when they're last call is. Most will close at the same time depending on the type of facility you're drinking at. For those that enjoy the nightlife, visiting various lounges will give you the chance to find where your favorite place is. Ask friends and family where they like to visit and give it a shot yourself even if it's not a place you would usually go to.
